These cufflinks are only suitable for older children or adults, who have strong fingerprint detail.  We suggest 5 years and upwards, but it does depend on the child as fingerprints do vary person to person.

The technique for capturing suitable fingerprints is slightly different, as we need a bigger and flatter area than with our normal bowl-shaped fingerprints.  You need to provide a flattish mould with print area about 2cm square. Often the crease shows up, which does give interest to the print!  It's quite simple to do we will send you details with the impression kit.

Textured cufflinks also have a much more rustic look than the fingerprint cufflinks. We still polish the back and antique the fingerprint for you.  We can normally put some personalisation on the backs of the cufflinks - do keep it short, as there is not much space.  A name or date works fine!
